New Equipment Upgrade Inside Workshop in HOWO Truck Factory
We are excited to announce the completion of a major equipment upgrade at our HOWO truck production workshop in Jinan.
HOWO Special Truck Sales is proud to announce the completion of a comprehensive equipment upgrade at our main production facility in Jinan, Shandong Province. This multi-million dollar investment represents our ongoing commitment to manufacturing excellence and positions us at the forefront of heavy-duty truck production technology in China.
The upgrade project, which commenced in late 2025 and was completed in March 2026, involved the installation of cutting-edge manufacturing equipment, the reorganization of production workflows, and the implementation of Industry 4.0 smart manufacturing systems across our 200,000 square meter facility.
Advanced CNC Machining Centers
The centerpiece of our upgrade is the installation of 12 new 5-axis CNC machining centers from leading German and Japanese manufacturers. These precision machines enable us to produce critical engine components, transmission parts, and axle housings with tolerances of ±0.001mm. The new CNC centers have increased our machining capacity by 40% while reducing production cycle times by 25%.
Our engine block machining line now features automated pallet-based workpiece handling, allowing for continuous unmanned operation during night shifts. This has significantly boosted our daily engine production output and improved consistency in critical dimensions.
Robotic Welding Systems
We have deployed 35 new industrial welding robots across our cab assembly and chassis fabrication lines. These FANUC and KUKA robots perform MIG, MAG, and spot welding operations with exceptional precision and repeatability. The robotic welding cells have improved weld quality consistency by 60% and reduced welding defects to near-zero levels.
The new cab assembly line uses vision-guided robots that can automatically adjust welding parameters based on real-time quality feedback. This adaptive welding technology ensures perfect joint quality regardless of minor variations in component fit-up.
Automated Paint Shop
Our fully renovated paint shop now features an electrophoretic deposition (ED) priming line, followed by robotic spray painting booths and a new generation curing oven. The ED coating process provides 100% coverage of all interior and exterior surfaces, offering superior corrosion protection for trucks destined for harsh environments in Africa and the Middle East.
The new paint system uses water-based environmentally friendly coatings that meet the strictest European VOC emission standards. Multiple color options are now available with improved color matching accuracy and gloss consistency.
Quality Control and Testing
The upgrade includes a new end-of-line testing facility featuring an automated chassis dynamometer, brake test rig, and electronic diagnostic system. Every truck now undergoes a comprehensive 128-point inspection including a 50-kilometer road test on our dedicated test track before delivery.
We have also implemented a digital quality management system that tracks every component from receipt through assembly to final delivery, providing complete traceability and enabling predictive quality analytics.
Environmental and Sustainability Improvements
The equipment upgrade includes significant investments in environmental protection. A new wastewater treatment system achieves 95% water recycling, while an advanced VOC capture and destruction system reduces atmospheric emissions by 80%. Solar panel installations on factory rooftops now provide 30% of our electricity needs.
Future Plans
This upgrade is just the beginning of our modernization program. We are planning further investments in electric vehicle production lines, autonomous truck testing facilities, and advanced materials research laboratories. These initiatives will ensure HOWO Special Truck Sales remains at the cutting edge of heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing for years to come.
