6 Units Howo Truck Head on the Ship for Senegal
6 units Howo truck head loaded on the ship for Senegal Customer

In April 2026, we completed the export of 6 units of SINOTRUK HOWO 6x4 truck heads to Dakar, Senegal. This order was placed by a long-standing customer who has been importing trucks from us since 2020, marking their fourth purchase from our company and reflecting the enduring quality of HOWO vehicles in West African operations.
The Senegal customer operates a cross-border freight business transporting goods between Dakar and neighboring countries including Mali, Guinea, and Ivory Coast along the Trans-West African Highway corridor. They required reliable, fuel-efficient tractor heads capable of handling both paved highways and unpaved rural roads across West Africa's varied terrain.
We supplied HOWO truck heads featuring the 420HP engine with Euro 3 emissions compliance, perfectly suited for African operating conditions where fuel quality and maintenance infrastructure vary. Each unit comes with the HW76 air-conditioned cabin for driver comfort in Senegal's hot climate, 12-speed manual transmission for optimal power delivery, and reinforced suspension systems designed for heavy loads and rough terrain.
All 6 truck heads were carefully secured on the deck of a cargo ship at Shanghai Port using professional Ro-Ro loading procedures. We provided comprehensive export documentation and arranged marine insurance coverage for the full voyage to Dakar Autonomous Port, one of West Africa's busiest deep-water ports.
The customer particularly appreciated our pre-shipment inspection service, where we provided detailed photos and videos of each unit undergoing testing. This transparency builds trust and ensures they receive exactly what they ordered, a service standard we maintain for all exports.
Senegal's growing logistics sector presents excellent opportunities for reliable Chinese truck exports. Our HOWO truck heads have proven to be among the most cost-effective and durable options available in the West African market, offering total cost of ownership advantages over European and Japanese alternatives.
